According to the president.ir, Dr. Rouhani, addressing the people of Lahijan in northern Iran, said, “We had promised to make the country self-sufficient in energy supply which is now the case.”

He said the country is now self-sufficient in production of petrol, natural gas and gasoil, and can even export the items.
