The managing director of Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) said the complex, located in Qeshm Island, southern Iran, will be officially operated by the president via a video conference on Wednesday.
Hamid Bovard said the plant is developed with 80 million cubic feet per day of gas sweetening and dehydration capacity. The sour gas is produced at Hengam joint oilfield.
He said some of the project's advantages include preserving the environment, the maximum exploitation of domestic potentialities in the project's design, construction and installation.
The IOOC chief further said the project, which was built jointly by IOOC and Jondishapour Company Building, was financed by 70 million euros (about IRR 3,500 billion).
The field holds 700 million barrels of crude oil and about 2 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in its reserves.
