Foreign Investors Flock Iran Industrial Projects

TEHRAN, Oct 31 (Shana) – Investors from 17 countries have financed 124 industrial projects in Iran ever since Iranian President Hassan Rouhani took office in 2013, an industrial official says.

Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Ali Yazdani has said foreign investors have so far financed $4.1b in industrial projects in Iran, generating over 17,520 jobs since the president took office in Iran three years ago.

He said among the projects, 54 ones have been launched so far and 70 others are being completed. 

The projects include auto-making, subway, engine oil, agricultural machinery, metals and energy projects.

Yazdani further said the financiers have come from Italy, Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Ireland, South Korea, Japan, China, India, Malaysia, Afghanistan, Iraq, the Azerbaijan Republic, and Turkey.
