NIOC Backs CSR Activities: CEO

TEHRAN, Aug 28 (Shana) – The managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) says his company is interested in boosting its corporate social responsibility activities in its operations and supports projects that benefit the general public.

Speaking during a visit to North Azadegan oilfield, Ali Kardor underlined the significance of carrying out CSR measures by energy companies and voiced his company's readiness to bolster public-benefit works in the regions where upstream projects are on the go. 

Public benefit activities considered in the West Karoon regions include construction of a bridge for the cities of Sousangerd and Hoveizeh,and construction of roads and schools for the rural population. 

Moreover, consideration of environmental issues is top on the agenda of the NIOC in development of oil and gas fields in the region.

North Azadegan Oilfield is currently processing 73,000 b/d of crude oil.
