Ebtekar made the remarks in an address to the Ceremonies marking the 50th Anniversary of Establishment of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).
She said the efforts have been so effective that today number of the clean and healthy days is non the rise in the metropolitan cities. "However, dust is still serving as a stumbling block for healthy weather in cities."
She went on to say that knowledge-based potential is today of high importance for countering air pollution.
She announced that air pollution is not restricted to environment today, rather affecting life of every human being and even inflicts damage on national economy.
Ebtekar said Iran lies on the belt of drought and each year experiences one to 1.5 degrees increase in the weather, entailing many consequences like growing energy consumption and dust.
She then said Iran has offered its platform for decreasing greenhouse gas emissions and is going to cut the emissions by four percent unconditionally and eight percent conditionally by 2030 until total elimination of sanctions because it believes it has much effect on reforms in energy consumption and Economy of Resistance.
