Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Marvdasht Martyrs Ammonia and Urea Project in the southern province of Fars on Tuesday, the official criticized the previous administration's wrong policies which allowed neighboring states to extract more oil and gas from the country's energy fields, saying there were some people who were more focused on marginal matters rather than enhancing production capacity of the fields.
He said when it comes to economy, no other areas are more important than oil and gas for the country.
Jahangiri said the administration has adopted certain policies to materialize the Economy of Resistance which include increasing the country's oil and gas production capacity and weaning the economy off petrodollars.
