Golmoradi told Shana that ministries of petroleum and interior as well as regional organization had joined hands to curb the fire.

He said spread of fire to other storage tank had been predicted and had it not been for logical and principled control of the incident, it would have had yet newer dimensions.

He referred to presence of the Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zanganeh in the site of the incident and said his presence had been highly effective to curb the incident.

He noted that it is recommended that key managers be present in the site of the crisis on time because the gesture would be sign of their responsibility and commitment.

He announced that shortly after eruption of the incident the minister held an emergency session to focus on the crisis, then had a tour in the area to assess all variables.
