Phase 19 Refinery Operational by March 2015

TEHRAN August 19 (Shana)--Refining facilities for treatment of gas recovered from Phase 19 of the supergiant South Pars gas field will come on-stream by the end of the current Iranian calendar year in March 2015.

Managing director of the South Pars Gas Complex Company Ali Akbar Shabanpour said the offshore platform C of the phase is 65% complete.
The gas recovered from the SPD2 platform of phase 1 of the field will be delivered to platform C of phase 19 after it is completed, he added.
The official expressed hope that a refining chain for treatment of the gas recovered from phase 19 will be constructed by March 2016.
Furthermore, phases 20 and 21 will be operational no sooner than 2016, added Shabanpour on Tuesday.
Drilling operations in Platform C are over and drilling rigs are operating on Platforms A and D of this phase.
Fifteen more wells are still to be drilled in this phase of the offshore field which Iran shares with neighboring Qatar.
Phase 19 and Phase 1 of South Pars are located close to each other.
The refinery of Phase 19 receives 57 mcm/d of combined sour gas, gas condensate, water and other substances.
Phase 19 was awarded by Pars Oil and Gas Company in June 2020 to a consortium of Petropars Limited, Petropars Iran and Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) under an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract.
