Siri Sends 100,000b of NGL to India

TEHRAN July 12 (Shana)--Siri Island has exported a third consignment of natural gas liquid (NGL) to India, the head of NGL factory in Siri said.

Mohammad Javad Sokhanvar said the consignment consisted of 100,000 barrels of condensate.
He said the cargo was prepared by the staff of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) in full compliance with safety measures.
“This factory is now fully ready to export propane and butane,” said Sokhanvar.
NGL is among the most valuable and profitable refined products.
Launched in 2003, the NGL factory in Siri is envisaged to recover 140 million cubic feet of associated petroleum gas.
The facility is expected to earn the country more than 150 million dollars a year.
Once fully operational, the factory will produce 841 tons of propane, 328 tons of butane, 361 barrels of pentane and 1,250 barrels of gas condensate a day.
