In a decree, Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad cited Ehteshami’s commitment and professional experience as the basis for the appointment.

“I hereby appoint you as acting deputy for hydrocarbon resources oversight,” Paknejad said in the decree. “It is hoped that, with trust in Almighty God and by drawing on the capabilities of your colleagues in the deputyship, you will succeed in carrying out your assigned responsibilities.”

The appointment places Ehteshami in charge of overseeing hydrocarbon resources and related supervisory functions within the ministry.
