According to president.ir, Pezeshkian made the remarks Tuesday during a visit to the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare as part of the government’s ongoing field monitoring, specialized assessments and oversight of executive agencies.
He said that under current conditions, managing consumption and avoiding waste are national necessities and that all government bodies must take the lead in implementing conservation measures.
The president highlighted the importance of reducing unnecessary administrative expenses, optimizing the use of energy resources and promoting public transportation for employee commuting. He also stressed the need to save water, electricity, gas and fuel.
Pezeshkian said following proper consumption patterns would not only reduce pressure on the country’s infrastructure but also play a significant role in enhancing economic resilience and ensuring the sustainability of public services.
He further emphasized the continuation of field monitoring of the country’s economic and social conditions, strengthening coordination among responsible bodies and accelerating the implementation of support and employment-focused policies.
The president also called for regular and accurate reports on the implementation of government resolutions and support programs.
