Damaged oil facilities to be rebuilt with support from gov’t, Parliament

SHANA (Tehran) – The deputy chairman of parliamentary Energy Committee said the Oil Ministry performed well during the third imposed war, adding that damaged oil facilities will be rebuilt with support from the government and Parliament.

Ramezanali Sangdovini spoke Tuesday on the sidelines of a meeting between the oil minister and members of the Energy Committee. He said the Oil Ministry was one of the ministries that gave people hope and confidence in energy supply during the third imposed war.

Sangdovini said the Oil Ministry performed exceptionally in oil production and exports as well as in fuel and gas delivery. Although some oil facilities were damaged in the war, he said they would be rebuilt quickly with government and parliamentary support, adding that there was no cause for concern.

The deputy chairman said Iran faced no problems supplying fuel to its people despite wartime conditions, while many Western countries faced fuel shortages and high gasoline prices.

Sangdovini said the Oil Ministry and the minister himself had compiled a strong record during this period, which would remain in the public’s memory.
