Oil workers’ bravery in Third Imposed War to be recorded in history

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company praised the performance of oil industry workers in the southern oil-rich regions, describing their actions during the war as honorable and enduring, and said their bravery would be recorded in the nation’s history.

Speaking Saturday at a consultative meeting of managers from the Southern Oilfields held in Ahvaz, Hamid Bovard said the gathering provided a long-awaited opportunity to meet in person with dedicated employees from companies including National Iranian South Oil Company, Arvandan Oil and Gas Company, National Iranian Drilling Company, and other active regional entities, and to thank them for their around-the-clock efforts, particularly during the war.

He said measures taken in the oil-rich regions and affiliated companies during that period were carried out with foresight and authority.

“These efforts will undoubtedly be remembered in the future as shining chapters in the country’s history, and the bravery, sacrifice and determination of oil industry employees will endure,” Bovard said.

He added that, as servants of the Iranian people, officials had a duty to spare no effort, and that attending the meeting to honor employees was part of that responsibility.

Bovard said the actions taken by managers and employees in various regions, including Kharg, Asalouyeh, the south and other parts of the country, were a source of pride.

“Our colleagues in the oil industry stand honored before God and will undoubtedly be honored before the great nation of Iran as well,” he said.
