Delivering a message of appreciation from the oil minister, Saeid Tavakoli said during a visit to damaged refineries at South Pars that staff’s performance during the Ramadan war reflected an exceptional level of commitment, expertise, national resolve and professional management.
He said refinery personnel acted with courage and coordination, responding swiftly without hesitation, enabling effective network management and crisis containment.
“What happened at South Pars was not merely a technical operation, but a display of solidarity and collective belief that highlighted the capabilities of Iran’s gas industry workforce,” Tavakoli said.
He added that the rapid return of the first refinery to production was the direct result of the operational teams’ deep experience, accumulated knowledge and strong sense of responsibility. Those teams, he said, have effectively become a true knowledge base after years of presence in the region.
Tavakoli also pointed to the Oil Ministry’s integrated management during the tense period, saying daily meetings led by the oil minister and centralized coordination across sectors ensured unity of command and played a key role in maintaining energy stability and managing the crisis.
He said the performance of South Pars employees has further strengthened the confidence of senior Oil Ministry leadership, noting that when the workforce commits to a timeline, the results are often achieved on or ahead of schedule.
Conveying the minister’s message, Tavakoli expressed appreciation for the employees’ patience, loyalty and tireless efforts, reiterating that their actions underscored the gas industry’s role as a dependable national asset in difficult times.
Resources Mobilized for Refinery Reconstruction
Behnam Mirzaei, CEO of the Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company, also visited the site and honored those who lost their lives in the Ramadan war and within the oil industry, emphasizing their role in sustaining production and economic stability.
He said staff and specialists across the 13 refineries at South Pars maintained uninterrupted gas production during the conflict, ensuring that consumers nationwide experienced no disruption in supply.
Mirzaei noted that, following the assignment of reconstruction projects to his company, all managerial, engineering and operational capacities have been mobilized to begin work as quickly as possible.
He described the strong technical and managerial capabilities within the NIGC as a valuable foundation for accelerating reconstruction efforts, adding that work is being pursued intensively to restore full production capacity.
In a joint meeting with managers of four affected refineries, Mirzaei reviewed initial measures and coordinated next steps for reconstruction and debris removal.
