The statement said the American-Zionist enemy, in continuation of criminal attacks on infrastructure and industrial areas, struck parts of the petrochemical sector’s auxiliary facilities in the zone on April 6.
Safety, firefighting, rescue and operations teams were immediately dispatched to the scene, and emergency response measures were launched. The fire has since been brought under control.
The situation was reported to be under control at the time of the statement, and assessments of the technical aspects and the extent of the damage are ongoing.
No casualties had been reported as of the time of publication.
