Seyed Abbas Araghchi spoke Friday at a rally in Tehran marking Quds Day, an annual demonstration of support for Palestinians. He said the large turnout demonstrated Iranians' commitment to the Palestinian cause and other ideals of the Islamic Republic.

"The increase in oil prices is the result of the actions of the US and the Zionist regime in the region," Araghchi said. "They are the ones who created this calamity in the region and must be held accountable."

He also said Iran would force its enemies to acknowledge the power of the Iranian people.
