According to the National Iranian Gas Co., Hamed Hashemi-Malayeri spoke Monday at a ceremony marking the unveiling of the service, highlighting the company’s leading role within the Oil Ministry. He said the spirit of solidarity, cooperation and organizational cohesion at the National Iranian Gas Co. has enabled the advancement of major national projects.
“Today we are witnessing the commissioning of a key project that, in my view, ranks among the government’s national, driving initiatives,” he said. “It can play an effective role in improving the country’s position in evaluations related to e-government and smart services.”
Hashemi-Malayeri pointed to the National Iranian Gas Co.’s direct connection with the public, saying it has long been regarded as the Oil Ministry’s “showcase” because of its extensive interaction with citizens. The quality of its services, he said, shapes the ministry’s public image.
Among the Leaders in Public Service Delivery
Hashemi-Malayeri said the National Iranian Gas Co. has consistently ranked among top performers in recent evaluations of public engagement and service delivery. Projects aimed at smartening services, he added, can further strengthen that position.
He noted that recent governments have placed special emphasis on smartening and digitizing public services. Performance indicators for government agencies, he said, are increasingly focused on measuring the quality of electronic and smart services — a trend expected to intensify in the coming years.
“The shift toward indicator-based evaluation and assessing agencies based on real performance is a key government policy,” he said. “Projects like this help make services more transparent, measurable and effective.”
Hashemi-Malayeri described the project as a significant, infrastructure-focused step and said its completion reflects strong commitment within the National Iranian Gas Co. He expressed hope that the system would deliver tangible benefits for applicants and the country’s industrial sector by increasing transparency, shortening processes and improving workflows.
He also announced the Oil Ministry’s readiness to support similar initiatives, saying the ministry seeks to highlight innovative efforts by its subsidiaries at the national level and reflect them in evaluation and review processes as part of the broader smart government agenda.
