According to the South Pars Gas Complex, Mohammadreza Joulaei spoke at a strategic meeting Saturday, citing the complex’s critical role in supplying a major share of Iran’s gas. He said all operational, maintenance and support activities must be carried out in line with the approved schedule, warning that any disruption or delay could affect the chain of gas production, processing and transmission.
Joulaei said the complex’s refineries play a central role in maintaining the stability of the national gas network. He called for stronger coordination among operations, maintenance, technical inspection and support units to prevent potential disruptions.
He described synergy among departments as a key requirement for navigating peak consumption periods successfully. Integrated management, the exchange of experience among refineries and the use of shared capacities can boost efficiency and minimize operational risks, he said.
Human Capital Development Alongside Operations
Joulaei emphasized that continuous monitoring of performance indicators, the precise implementation of major overhaul programs and full equipment readiness are among the most important measures needed to guarantee stable production throughout the year.
He identified human capital development as a top priority alongside technical and operational initiatives. Enhancing competencies, upgrading employees’ specialized skills and focusing on targeted training are necessary to maintain production and safety standards at optimal levels, he said.
A capable and well-trained workforce is the most important pillar for achieving production and operational goals in the gas industry, Joulaei said, adding that this should receive serious attention alongside equipment modernization and process improvements.
With careful planning, organizational cohesion and reliance on domestic capabilities, Joulaei said, stable production at South Pars refineries can be ensured, further strengthening the complex’s strategic role in the country’s energy security.
