Productivity at NIDC rises to 77%

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of the National Iranian Drilling Company praised employees for their efforts in achieving operational and technical service targets, announcing that productivity increased from 72% to 77% this year, while waiting time declined from 15% to 10%.

According to the company, CEO Morteza Fouladi said Saturday at a deputies council meeting that, in line with directives from the National Iranian Oil Company to accelerate the rehabilitation, modernization and upgrading of drilling fleets and auxiliary service equipment, significant progress has been made. He noted that productivity stood at 72% during the first 10 months of the previous Iranian year (1403), but collective efforts and implemented measures have resulted in a five-percentage-point increase so far this year, marking a valuable achievement.

Fouladi said reducing waiting time is a key performance indicator emphasized by clients to accelerate operations and ensure projects are completed on schedule. He added that waiting time, which declined by 15% in the first 10 months of last year, fell further to 10% this year, reflecting a notable success and higher client satisfaction in cooperation with the company.

He said further improvements in these indicators are expected by the end of the year through coordination between senior management and operational and support divisions.

Since the beginning of the year, 112 wells have been drilled and completed, an increase of 25 wells compared with the same period last year, Fouladi said.

Total drilling footage reached 115,389 meters this year, an increase of more than 15,000 meters year over year. He said the upward trend is expected to continue given the high level of drilling activity.
