Ali-Asghar Sadeqi said that with the new well now online, Phase 13 is positioned to play a more effective role in maintaining the stability of the country's gas output, according to a report from the Pars Oil and Gas Company.

Sadeqi noted that the connection of the new well to processing facilities on one of the offshore platforms was successfully completed, and production has commenced.

He stated that careful planning minimized platform downtime during the operation. Drilling and completion work on the well finished approximately three weeks ago, but the launch was timed to align with peak energy consumption periods and after receiving necessary approvals.

The well has a production capacity of 60 million cubic feet per day (over 1.5 million cubic meters). Sadeqi said this increase will contribute significantly to managing the country's gas balance.
