Household sector accounts for 77% of total gas consumption

SHANA (Tehran) – Natural gas consumption in the household, commercial and small industries sectors reached 672 million cubic meters on the seventh day of Bahman (January 27), accounting for 77% of the total gas injected into Iran’s national grid.

Consumption in these sectors totaled 672 million cubic meters on Tuesday, down 10 million cubic meters from the previous day, Monday (Bahman 6). A total of 870 million cubic meters of sweet gas was delivered to the national gas grid on that day.

The National Iranian Gas Company said effective consumption management in the household and commercial sectors plays a decisive role in maintaining network stability and ensuring supply to other sectors. It said setting indoor temperatures in homes and workplaces at 20 degrees Celsius is the simplest and most effective way to reduce consumption.

The company urged subscribers to follow optimal consumption patterns and conserve gas to help ensure a stable and continuous supply nationwide.

Observing efficient consumption patterns, especially during colder days, not only helps maintain network stability but also facilitates gas supply to industrial sectors.
