Gas consumption by the residential, commercial and small-scale industrial sectors hit a record 726 million cubic meters on Wednesday, accounting for 83 percent of all gas delivered to the national grid.

The National Iranian Gas Company emphasized that consumption management in the residential and commercial sectors plays a decisive role in maintaining network stability and meeting the needs of other sectors.

The company has asked subscribers to help ensure a stable gas supply across the country by following optimal patterns and conserving energy. Following optimal consumption patterns, especially during cold days, not only maintains network stability but also facilitates gas supply to industries.
