Fuel supply for power plants in good condition

SHANA (Tehran) – The head of Iran’s parliamentary Energy Committee said the country’s liquid fuel reserves for power plants are in good shape this year, following challenges in November and December last year.

Mousa Ahmadi made the remarks Monday on the sidelines of Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad’s visit to the SPD3A platform in the South Pars gas field, according to Pars Oil and Gas Company. He praised the operational staff of the National Iranian Oil Company for ensuring the country’s energy needs are met.

“The Energy Committee, alongside the Ministry of Petroleum, continues to monitor concerns related to the country’s stable energy supply through regular meetings,” Ahmadi said.

He noted that while there were difficulties supplying fuel to gas-fired power plants last November and December, careful planning has put this year’s liquid fuel reserves in a suitable condition.

Ahmadi also emphasized that the oil minister’s visits to South Pars platforms and his recognition of operational staff highlight his ongoing commitment to ensuring the well-being of oil industry employees, including issues related to pay, technical matters, and social concerns.
