According to the company, consumption in the household, commercial and small industrial sectors totaled 656 million cubic meters per day on Thursday, reflecting a surge driven by cold weather.
Saeid Tavakoli, chief executive of the National Iranian Gas Co., said in a televised interview that gas consumption during this year’s cold spell has reached unprecedented levels.
