TEHRAN __ Iran Khodro, the biggest auto manufacturing company in the Middle East, produced more than half a million cars in the past 11 months.

Manucheher Manteqi, managing director of the Iran Khodro Company (IKCO), said that the total number of cars produced by the company in the past 11 months was 502 thousand, up from 465 thousand for the same period a year ago.

At approximately 98,000, the Rowa model accounted for the largest number of vehicles produced by the company, followed by the Samand and Peugeot 206 models, Manteqi added, according to presstv.com.

"Iran Khodro has set itself the goal of producing 620 thousand cars in 2007, of which 75 percent has already been realized,” he said.
