The minister’s message reads:
“Today, on behalf of the 14th government, I am honored to recognize the significant place and transformative role of women in the oil industry. The dignity that God affirmed in the verse ‘We have certainly honored the children of Adam…’ inspires our commitment to strengthening the presence of women in national decision-making and management — an approach emphasized by the Leader.
The Leader has repeatedly stated that Iranian women must play an effective role in science, advanced technologies, management, political understanding and national decision-making — a role that is active, not ceremonial. In a recent meeting with women, he stressed that they must help shape the country’s future in areas such as emerging technologies, the knowledge-based economy and strategic sectors, and must not fall behind global technological developments. This clear directive is our roadmap in the Oil Ministry.
Over the past year, the ministry has adopted a strategic approach that has led to a notable rise in the appointment of qualified women — including a 34 percent increase in women managers at the ministry’s headquarters and a 41 percent increase in women’s participation in the petrochemical sector. These figures are more than statistics; they reflect transformation, efficiency and confidence in women’s capabilities.
Women in the oil industry are not only our colleagues but also drivers of the country’s new energy path, data-driven technologies, transparent management and a low-carbon future. With their expertise, precision, accountability and humanity-centered perspective, they strengthen the foundations of the industry’s future.
We take pride in your contributions to the country’s largest industry and are confident that the advancement of women in the Oil Ministry is not a symbolic move but a firm, long-term strategy pursued powerfully in line with the Leader’s guidance.
Happy Mother’s Day.”
