TEHRAN – The last and sixth phase of the Shirvan Gas Power Plant, northeastern Iran, has been synchronized with the nationwide power grid, said the managing director of the Iran Power Development Organization on Wednesday.

Mohammad Behzad told Isna that the power plant has been constructed in six 159MW gas phases, adding that steam units will join the gas plants to boost the output.

The turbines of the power plant are of A94/V2 kind -- joint products of Iran Power Plant Projects Management Company (MAPNA) and Italian company Ansaldo Energia, he said.
