TEHRAN – Iran will become the biggest urea and ammonia producer in the global markets, the Ghadir Petrochemical Company managing director said on Wednesday.

By putting the company’s urea and ammonia units into operation, Iran will export 1.15 million tons of the commodities, Mohammad-Hassan Keshvari predicted.

After the exploitation of the units’ Phase 2 and Lavan Chemical Company, Arak Petrochemical Company and an Indian company will jointly run phases 3-5, he said in a Mehr report.

Ghadir Petrochemical Company is one of the Pars Energy Economic Special Zone’s strategic units.
