Petroleium Industry Healthcase Staff Fighting COVID-19

TEHRAN (Shana) -- With the outbreak of coronavirus in Iran and other parts of the world, the country's hospitals are operating round the clock to treat and hospitalize patients. The hospitals of the Iranian oil industry, along with other health centers, have not stopped trying to fight the virus and provide services to the patients. Tehran Specialized Oil Hospital has also dedicated its inpatient wards to the treatment and hospitalization of staff infected with the virus. Last calendar year saw Iran's oil refining industry take important steps towards development and self-sufficiency. The refining industry has signed memorandums with the Petroleum Ministry and some other ministries and bodies. One of these MOUs was on producing needle and sponge coke at the Bandar Abbas and Imam Khomeini oil refineries. They were signed between National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) and Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) with a view to putting an end to Iran's sponge coke imports. Another achievement of the oil refining industry is full commissioning of phases 1, 2 and 3 of the Bandar Abbas gas condensate refinery, generally known as the Persian Gulf Star refinery. Some 70% of the equipment used at the condensate refinery was made in Iran.

10th OPEC+ Teleconference

TEHRAN (Shana) -- OPEC+ struck a deal to cut the group’s output by 10 million barrels per day in May and June 2020 which would be accompanied by G20’s decision to cut its oil output by 3.7 mbd within a year. The group men on Sunday evening to finalize a deal that had been hampered by Mexico three days earlier.

9th OPEC+ Meeting held via Webinar

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The 9th meeting of the oil and energy ministers of OPEC and non-OPEC oil producers was held on Thursday, April 9, and lasted over 11 hours as Mexico failed to support a widely endorsed deal to cut the 23-member coalition's crude oil output by 10mbd.

Tondgouyan Petrochemical Plant

Shana: Martyr Tondgouyan Petrochemical Plant, located at Special Petrochemical Economic Zone (Mahshahr), is the only producer of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in the country and supplies raw materials to downstream units in the textile and packaging industries including bottle. The products of this complex compete qualitatively with other manufacturers in the world.

South Pars symbol of Islamic Revolution Achievements

BUSHEHR (Shana) -- As we celebrate the 41st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, we are exploring the development process of the South Pars gas field since its inception. The first gas exploration well in this field was dug in 1990; based on the results of seismic studies, existence of gas was confirmed in the field. Iran's share of the 9,700-km field is 3,700 km, which hold roughly 14.2 trillion cubic meters of gas or 8% of the world's total reserves. South Pars will undoubtedly be an important part of the future of Iran's industrial history.

Wellhead Platform Loaded for Salman Oilfield

KHORRAMSHAHR (Shana) -- The S1 Platform of Salman Oilfield, built by relying on domestic capabilities, has been loaded from Khorramshahr Yard.

VIENNA (Shana) -- The 177th Meeting of the Conference of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) was held in Vienna, Austria, on Thursday, 5 December 2019, under the Chairmanship of its President, HE Manuel Salvador Quevedo Fernandez, People's Minister of Petroleum of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and Head of its Delegation. On Friday, 6 December, the 7th OPEC+ meeting was also held.

ZANJAN (Shana) -- The Northwest District is located at a distance of 1,920 km, passing the routes of Eshtehard, Abhar, Zanjan, Idloo, Miyaneh, Martyr Karimi (Turkmanchai), Tabriz, Miandoab, Urmia, Maragheh, Sarab, and Ardabil in western to northwestern Iran. The center of this area is on the north side of Zanjan. Its area of operation includes Alborz, Qazvin, Zanjan, East Azerbaijan, West Azarbaijan and Ardabil provinces.
