In an interview with Shana, Saeid Tavakoli said deliveries remained high despite colder weather and rising residential and commercial demand.
Comparing this winter to last year, he said meteorological reports show average temperatures are not warmer than a year ago. However, because the cold has arrived gradually, this year’s winter has not felt as harsh.
Tavakoli said the gas network is fully prepared to maintain stability in the residential, commercial and small-industry sectors, as well as transportation, even if temperatures drop further. He added that planned mechanisms are in place to manage the system in the event of more severe cold.
