Formation of seventh development plan committee at NPC

SHANA (Tehran) – The National Petrochemical Company (NPC) has established a specialized committee dedicated to the implementation of Iran’s Seventh Development Plan, emphasizing its importance for the petrochemical sector, the company’s CEO announced.

According to NPC, Hassan Abbaszadeh said Tuesday during a meeting on the Seventh Development Plan and the 1404 national budget law that the formation of the specialized committee underscores the company’s commitment to the plan’s execution. He highlighted the importance of balanced development across the petrochemical industry as part of the broader national growth strategy.

Abbaszadeh noted that ongoing cooperation with the Supreme Audit Court of Iran (SAC) plays a key role in monitoring progress on the plan. “Continuous assessment of the Seventh Development Plan will help shape effective policies and executive decisions,” he said. “With the participation of petrochemical holdings and companies, achieving the plan’s goals for industry development will be feasible.”

Implementation and oversight: Two pillars of the Seventh Development Plan

Javad Abdali, chief auditor at the Supreme Audit Court, stressed during the same meeting that the directives issued to executive bodies must be taken seriously. “Implementation and oversight are two complementary pillars in realizing the goals outlined in the Seventh Development Plan,” he said.

Abdali added that achieving the targeted 8% growth rate requires institutionalized cooperation between executive and supervisory bodies. “The Supreme Audit Court is ready to provide full support and cooperation to help accomplish the country’s development objectives,” he said.

He emphasized that the development of the oil industry and its sectors is supported by all supervisory institutions, noting that “the petrochemical industry, as a leading sector, has the potential to transform the nation’s economy and industry.”
