Saeid Tavakoli, speaking Sunday (Sept. 28) at a ceremony marking Sacred Defense Week, said gas industry employees not only acted as guardians of the country’s economy under difficult conditions but also made significant sacrifices to safeguard energy security and public welfare.
He highlighted the workers’ resilience during crises, particularly the recent 12-day conflict, noting that despite attacks on key infrastructure aimed at disrupting gas access, no part of the country was left without service. “Through their selfless efforts, the steady and safe flow of gas continued uninterrupted across Iran,” Tavakoli said.
Tavakoli said the workers’ determination during the conflict demonstrated their commitment and sacrifices, comparing them to those of Sacred Defense veterans who risked their lives to protect the nation. He added that the gas industry employees successfully managed crises, maintained teamwork, and ensured the lifeblood of the nation’s energy supply kept flowing.
During the ceremony, NIGC unveiled two new books, Enduring Epic and Technical and Operational Lessons from Navigating the Harsh Winter of 1403 in Iran’s Gas Transmission Company, showcasing the company’s technical and spiritual achievements and sharing lessons from last year’s challenging conditions.
