Oil production hits record high with development projects

SHANA (Tehran) – Iran has broken its oil production record for the first time in seven years following new development measures in its oil fields, the oil minister said.

According to dolat.ir, Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad said production has risen significantly this year thanks to measures taken in upstream operations.

“With the strategies and efforts of our colleagues in the oil fields, we managed to set a new national oil production record, something unprecedented since 2018,” he said.

Paknejad credited the increase to in-field drilling, workover operations on wells, and partial commissioning of the Azadegan oil field’s processing facility.

“This achievement is the result of round-the-clock efforts by oil industry workers and careful planning in both upstream and surface facilities,” he said.
