Development of joint oil fields hinges on modern technology, official says

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of Arvandan Oil and Gas Company emphasized the need to prioritize the development of joint oil fields, calling it a key strategy for advancing Iran’s oil industry and strengthening the national economy.

According to a report from Arvandan Oil and Gas Company, Hamid Deris said during a production meeting held Saturday, that boosting output—especially from joint fields—plays a vital role not only in the progress of the oil industry but also in enhancing the country's economic standing and foreign currency revenue.

He stressed the importance of precise planning and the implementation of developmental and research projects for both joint and independent fields, calling it a strategic priority.

Deris also noted that Arvandan had achieved 100% of its production targets and even exceeded the output assigned by the National Iranian Oil Company. He outlined new operational and developmental responsibilities assigned to Arvandan and highlighted the importance of interdepartmental synergy to realize national production goals.

"In today’s conditions, we must make optimal use of our existing capacities and leverage modern technologies," he said.

To achieve long-term goals, Deris underscored the need to invest now in technical infrastructure, train skilled personnel, improve employee satisfaction, address compensation and incentive policies, and strengthen collaboration with other sectors of the oil industry, knowledge-based companies, and domestic service providers.
