Stability in PVC market as Arvand Petrochemical boosts production

SHANA (Tehran) – Arvand Petrochemical has significantly increased production of various PVC grades by addressing challenges and implementing development strategies, playing a key role in stabilizing Iran’s PVC market.

An analysis of the company’s performance from 2021 to 2024 shows that targeted policies and effective strategies led to a notable rise in the production of suspension PVC (SPVC) and emulsion PVC (EPVC). This growth has been instrumental in supporting downstream industries reliant on PVC.

According to the latest reports, SPVC production grew by 15%, increasing by 44,297 metric tons during this period. Meanwhile, EPVC production surged by 25%, with an additional 9,773 metric tons, highlighting Arvand Petrochemical’s strong performance in production and development.

The steady production increase over these four years resulted from precise policymaking and strategic measures to overcome obstacles and boost output. Effective implementation of operational resolutions and addressing challenges have enabled continuous improvements in production lines.

In the fourth year of its program, Arvand Petrochemical achieved a significant milestone, producing 285,000 metric tons of SPVC and 34,000 metric tons of EPVC. Sustained development strategies and close monitoring of production plans remain crucial to advancing Iran’s petrochemical industry goals. By expanding capacity and improving product quality, the company aims to strengthen its position in domestic and global markets.

This sustained production growth has helped stabilize the PVC market, meeting domestic demand and reducing reliance on imports. As a result, the company has mitigated market fluctuations and supported the growth of local manufacturers.
