Parliament Energy Committee plans oil investment

SHANA (Tehran) – The head of the Iranian Parliament’s Energy Committee said the Committee has prepared a plan focused on investment in upstream oil, gas, petrochemical and power industries, as well as downstream sectors.

Musa Ahmadi emphasized the need for energy consumption management strategies, noting that Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf has held meetings with specialized committees to advance the year’s economic goals. Accordingly, the Energy Committee has drafted a plan for investment in both upstream and downstream energy industries.

Referring to the Leader’s emphasis on implementing the seventh development plan, Ahmadi said the Committee expects proposals on energy production investments and stands ready to oversee their execution.

He acknowledged that Iran has strong laws and regulations but stressed the need for proper enforcement.

"The seventh development plan is our commitment to monitoring and follow-up. With its guidelines, we can achieve significant progress," the MP said.
