Isfahan Refinery’s daily gasoline output reaches 13m liters

SHANA (Tehran) - The CEO of Isfahan Oil Refining Company announced a 40,000-barrel increase in the refinery’s processing capacity, stating that since the start of the 14th administration and through operational upgrades, daily gasoline production has risen from 11 million liters to approximately 13 million liters.

Gholamreza Baqeri highlighted the refinery’s key role in Iran’s fuel supply, noting that it provides about 20% of the country’s fuel.
He emphasized efforts to align with government policies to boost output, including increasing gasoline and gas oil production. In 1403, the refinery’s processing capacity grew from 390,000 to 430,000 barrels per day, significantly addressing fuel shortages.

Baqeri also discussed fuel oil upgrade projects, reporting 65% progress in the first phase. These projects aim to reduce emissions and improve efficiency in power plants. A second phase will convert fuel oil into higher-value products like gasoline and diesel.

Gasoline production rose from 11 million liters daily to 12.5 million liters early in the 14th administration and has since reached 13 million liters. Diesel output also increased from 23 million liters daily at 360,000 barrels to 26 million liters at 430,000 barrels, reducing import dependency.

The refinery is pursuing environmental and social responsibility initiatives, including desalination projects from the Oman Sea and solar power plant development. These efforts lower energy consumption and emissions.

Baqeri affirmed the refinery’s commitment to expanding production capacity and improving product quality, with a focus on gasoline and diesel. Alongside domestic supply, the company aims to grow exports in collaboration with the government, supporting national interests and Iran’s oil industry development.
