POGC announces 15 mcm increase in gas extraction from South Pars

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) announced that during the final four months of the Iranian year 1403, an average of over 710 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas per day was extracted from the South Pars joint field. This figure represents an increase of more than 15 mcm compared to the preceding year.

Touraj Dehqani, speaking on Thursday, March 20, during a gathering with employees at the South Pars Phase 1 platform, praised the round-the-clock efforts of the company’s staff during the cold months of the year.

He also highlighted the valuable and commendable role of the families of operational employees in achieving this milestone.

Dehqani added that the year 1403 was marked by various events, and he expressed gratitude for the efforts of colleagues at the gas platforms, which led to a record daily production of 716 mcm in recent months. Statistics indicate that the average gas production during this year’s cold season saw significant growth compared to the previous year.

Accompanied by a group of senior company executives, the CEO visited the South Pars Phase 1 platform on Thursday. Through a video call with other platforms in the gas field, he joined operational employees in welcoming the new year.
