Sepehr, Jufair fields crude production hits 64,000 barrels per day

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of Pasargad Exploration, Development, and Production Company announced that oil production from the Sepehr and Jufair fields increased to 64,000 barrels per day by the end of the Iranian year 1403 (March 2024).

Ahmad Mohammadi highlighted the rise in oil production from the Sepehr and Jufair fields, attributing the achievement to the installation and activation of an artificial lift system (SRP downhole pump) in Jufair Well No. 5.

Mohammadi noted that Jufair Well No. 5 is the second well in the Sepehr and Jufair oil fields to be equipped with an SRP downhole pump, playing a significant role in boosting production rates for this national project. He added that earlier, in the first half of the Iranian month of Esfand (February-March), Jufair Well No. 3 had also been equipped and activated with an SRP downhole pump.

The CEO emphasized that, as part of the ongoing development of this national project, necessary design and planning have been completed to achieve higher production targets from the Sepehr and Jufair fields in the Iranian year 1404 (to start March 21). Pasargad Energy Group hopes that the precise implementation of these plans will lead to significant strides in the development of the country's oil industry.
