He stated that with an increase in gasoline production by 8 million liters per day over the past four months, there are no issues in fuel supply, and imports will be increased if necessary.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday on the sidelines of a Cabinet meeting, Paknejad said, "We are fully prepared in terms of gasoline reserves and have made the necessary plans to meet the travel demands of our fellow citizens during the final days of the year and the Nowruz holidays, when travel volumes rise."
He added, "Currently, the country's gasoline reserves are sufficient to meet demand, and no shortages have been reported."
The minister highlighted the recent increase in gasoline production, noting, "Over the past four months, daily gasoline production has risen by 8 million liters, covering a significant portion of domestic demand."
Paknejad also mentioned that, in anticipation of increased demand during the final days of the current Iranian year and the month of Farvardin (to start March 21), gasoline imports may be slightly increased to ensure a stable fuel supply.
He assured that the Oil Ministry, through coordinated efforts, is fully prepared to serve the public during the Nowruz holidays and that there will be no issues in this regard.
