NIDC inks three research contracts

SHANA (Tehran) – The National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) signed three research agreements with new technology-based firms (NTBFs) on the sidelines of the second day of the Third Petrotech Conference on Monday. The contracts aim to address technological needs in the drilling sector.

NIDC inked two agreements with Dorna Rubber NTBF, focusing on the development of "Packing Element 7" and "Variable Packer" for rotary blowout preventers.

The contracts were signed by Mohammadali Beygzadeh, head of research, technology, and engineering at NIDC, and Kourosh Kamali Sarvestani, CEO of Dorna Rubber.

Additionally, NIDC signed a research contract with Karoun Safe Engineering Services Group, an NTBF, for the development of "FLANGE.BRAKE in Diverks E2000."

The agreements underscore NIDC's efforts to collaborate with domestic NTBFs to advance technological solutions in the oil and gas industry.
