Arvand Petrochemical Company saving 10 mcm of gas annually

SHANA (Tehran) – Arvand Petrochemical Company has achieved annual savings of 10 million cubic meters of natural gas by using advanced nanotechnology and aerogel insulation for the first time in Iran’s petrochemical industry.

This innovation, developed in collaboration with domestic new technology-based firms (NTBFs), aims to address energy imbalances in its pipelines and equipment.

By utilizing aerogel insulation, locally produced by Iranian firms, the company has significantly reduced energy waste in its production systems. This initiative aligns with Arvand’s efforts to minimize energy inefficiencies and enhance resource utilization efficiency.

Aerogel insulation, known for its extremely low thermal conductivity, has proven to be one of the most effective materials for preventing energy loss in various industries. Its application at Arvand Petrochemical has not only cut costs and improved production efficiency but also contributed to preserving the country’s energy resources.

Through this technology, Arvand has managed to save 10 million cubic meters of natural gas annually. This achievement not only reduces production costs but also plays a critical role in alleviating pressure on national energy resources and preventing waste.

The project's return on investment was realized in less than two months, highlighting the substantial impact of modern technologies in reducing operational costs and boosting efficiency.

Aerogels, due to their low thermal conductivity, are among the best insulators for preventing energy loss. These properties make them a preferred choice for energy-intensive industries globally.

Arvand Petrochemical Company’s adoption of this technology has resulted in substantial energy and cost savings, offering a long-term solution for optimizing energy consumption in the industrial sector.
