Farhad Tahmasbi stated these initiatives encourage the public to save energy and can help alleviate imbalances during the cold season.
Tahmasbi referenced a campaign aimed at reducing room temperature by 2 degrees, highlighting the need for cautious gas and electricity consumption given the country's current circumstances.
"As responsible citizens, we should follow consumption guidelines to assist fellow citizens in keeping their homes warm," he said.
The lawmaker added that there should be a fresh perspective on energy consumption, emphasizing the importance of preventing energy waste to contribute to national infrastructure development.
Tahmasbi noted that excessive energy consumption is currently putting significant pressure on the national electricity grid. “Thus, managing and reducing energy use can enhance the stability of the electricity network.”
He described the “2 Degrees Less” campaign as a vital and impactful measure for energy management, stating that lowering demand during peak consumption periods can help maintain network stability and prevent energy shortages.
"By adhering to consumption patterns, the government can manage energy resources more effectively during periods of higher demand," the MP said.
Tahmasbi stressed that conservation campaigns promote social responsibility and encourage the public to save energy, contributing to the resolution of energy shortages during the cold season.
