Iran breaks West monopoly in turboexpander manufacturing

SHANA (Tehran) – Iran’s Shazand Petrochemical Company has managed to manufacture turboexpander, breaking the West’s monopoly.

The Iranian company in collaboration with a knowledge-based firm made turboexpander that is manufactured by just three Western countries.

The homegrown turboexpander will save millions of dollars Shazand Petrochemical Company spent to import it.

The tested indigenized system is now operating in the petrochemical company, exchanging heat and providing the furnaces of its olefin plant with fuel.

Shazand Petrochemical Company has expressed its readiness to supply other petrochemical complexes of the country with its homegrown turboexpander.
