Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf made the announcement on Tuesday after hearing remarks from Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad and the questioning lawmaker during the session.

Qalibaf stated, "I believe it is appropriate for the Energy Committee to compile a report on the energy imbalance, as numerous reports have been circulated. Therefore, we need a comprehensive summary on this matter, as it has negatively impacted both the economy and public tranquility."

He added, "To address the root cause, we must base our efforts on Article 46 of the Seventh Development Plan (2024-2028), focusing on optimization, and implement it starting this year to prevent similar issues in the upcoming summer and winter."

Addressing the oil minister, Qalibaf emphasized, "Members of Parliament have expressed concerns regarding the handling of bitumen allocation, as there have been disruptions and price fluctuations in this area."
