Gas Output of Nar Field up 300k cm/d

TEHRAN (Shana) – The head of petroleum engineering of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company underlined the restoration operations on a well in the Nar gas field, announcing an increase of 300,000 cubic meters per day in the field's production capacity.

According to Central Iranian Oil Fields Company, Hassan Nemat Elahi said: “One of the company's policies in planning and carrying out corrective measures on wells is the balanced depletion of production formations and exerting efforts to minimize formation abandonment with the aim of optimal production.”

He added that in order to cut the inter-layer relations and make the well productive, several operations, including blocking the relation intervals of the lower water-logged layers, as well as perforation of the new intervals, were planned and carried out on well No. 30 of Nar Gas Field.

The Head of Petroleum Engineering of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company further stated that well and field production studies and carrying out these measures, which were started with the aim of continuing to deplete gas of the lower layers of the Nar reservoir, took over a period of 25 people/days.

Nar Gas Field is one of the most important gas fields of South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company, which is located in the Nar and Kangan operational district in the vicinity of Jam city, the southern province of Bushehr.
