Petchem exports Rise in Assaluyeh

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone Organization (PSEEZ) announced a 50% increase in the export of this region compared to the previous year.

According to PSEEZ, a joint meeting of oil and petrochemical industry executives of Pars Special Region with Ayatollah Safai Bushehri, representative of the religious jurist in Bushehr province, was held on Monday in PSEEZ.

In this meeting, the representative of Wali Faqih and Imam Juma of Bushehr considered energy production as the driving force of economic production, and said: “The ruling world seeks to keep the Islamic Iran as its dependent in the field of nuclear and fossil energy supply, but with the help of you oil industry experts we will become knowledge-based and independent in these industries.”

He continued: "We must distance ourselves from crude sales in this industry by producing knowledge-based products in the field of oil and gas industries, and shape the civilization of the Islamic Iran by taking advantage of the great God-given capacity of the country."

Sakhawat Asadi, the CEO of PSEEZ, also reported a 50% increase in the export of the region in the 9 months of this calendar year (which began on March 21), compared to the same period last year, and said: “In the discussion of exports in the 9 months of this year, more than 18 million tons of exports from this region have earned the country nearly $10 billion in revenue.”

He also announced the decrease of $600 million in imports from South Pars region, which is 87,000 tons less than the same period last year.
