Iran, Venezuela Sign Comprehensive 20-Year Cooperation Document

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The Presidents of Iran and Venezuela signed a document of comprehensive 20-year strategic cooperation between the two countries in the cultural-historical complex of Saadabad.

In addition to a comprehensive 20-year strategic partnership document, Iran and Venezuela signed documents on cooperation in the political, cultural, tourism, economic, oil and petrochemical fields, IRNA reported. After the signing ceremony, Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and Nicolas Maduro attended a joint press conference.

The President of Venezuela traveled to Iran on Friday (June 10) at the head of a high-level delegation, and on Saturday, June 11 he was officially welcomed by the President at the Saadabad Cultural-Historical Complex. Nicolas Maduro's visit to Iran was at the official invitation of the President and is his second visit to Tehran after his visit in November 2016.
