Development of the fields, joint fields in particular, maintenance of production, overhaul, renovating and rebuilding facilities and additional care to the staff’s welfare are among the priorities, Karim Zobeidi said on the sidelines of the second day of the 26th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, also called Iran Oil Show.
We have prioritized resources of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and our main focus is on the development of the joint fields including those located in the West Karoun region and South Pars, he said, adding, “We have planned to raise oil production in Azadegan field to 570,000 barrels per day.”
"Therefore, we are due to finalize the first stage of this field’s development plan by the end of the year, producing 220,000 barrels of oil per day. In the second stage, integrated development of the North and South Azadegan fields will be carried out, increasing daily production to 570,000 barrels," he added.
Referring to the completion of the South Pars joint field as the company’s priority, he said, "We have planned to purchase required goods for the equipment which is at risk in South Pars Gas Field this year," Zobeidi stated.
He noted that knowledge-based companies need to be directed properly and cooperate with companies with executive capabilities in order to help the country’s independence.
“Overhaul as well as rebuilding and renovating the facilities are also plans which are to be funded,” he said, adding main parts of these facilities belong to the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) and the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), for which credit has been provided.
