According to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Ramin Hatami said the wells were among 11 ones which had been spudded in a plan to maintain and enhance productivity of the field.

He said the wells made production of crude oil from the Sarvak layer of Bangestan reservoir and were made productive by relying on domestic experts.

Hatami also announced that another well would come on stream in the field within the next few days by Iranian experts of ICOFC.

He went on to say that the field’s production capacity would see a 10,000 b/d growth in the first half of the next Iranian calendar year to March 21.

Once drilling of all new wells in the field finish, the production capacity of the field will grow by 25,000 b/d.
